Ah mate – the mothercapital! I must say that I’m slightly disappointed in myself, only having been there twice in my life; it’s so easy to forget how amazing your nearby cities, towns, and other places can be, isn’t it? And a lot of the time it’s equally easy to visit them, so there’s no excuses when you think about it.

Also, thanks for getting all the Swedish right (and for not including Östermalm because it seems stupid). It hurts just a little to see someone write ‘the Drottninggatan’, or similar. Skål och välkommen (eller nåt sånt)!

I’m with you, Matt! Stockholm is one of my favorite cities, too. It’s the perfect combination of built environment and open space, and it just seems to function so well. Everyone who lives there looks disturbingly happy, and who could blame them?
