Hello!

I don’t know if this is the right place to do it, but I see a lot of people here with amazing experiences from Morocco, so I wanted to ask two questions. My boyfriend and I would be traveling there in September so I’m interested:
1) Is it better to go on an organized tour or book by ourselves plane tickets and accommodation according to our itinerary?
2) Is it safe to rent a car there and use it as transportation from place to place?

I was smiling and felt so heart warm when i was reading about your experience in Morocco as well as the comments of all the other people that have visited this beautiful country, Im Moroccan and I live here and im even at the tourist industry, but believe me every time i do a tour to different parts of the country it feels like its the first time and i feel like im in love with it just as the first time. what i have to mention here is that you guys are our embassadors that gives the right picture about Morocco, lots of people cant come today because of the news and the media but i really want to say through this amawong blog that Morocco is really safe and that itys still welcoming all with open arms.

Not to surprise, 😯 Marrakech is one of the best travel places in the whole of Africa. I have been to Marrakech a couple of time. Everything looks so natural packed with culture, history and tradition associated with it. With the Sahara desert, interesting Mosque architecture, riads, Medinas, mint tea and many more, Marrakech is a place not to miss. 🙂

Fun post and read. I was in Marrakech in 2007 and hate to say it but I was underwhelmed. I felt touristy so to speak. I was told to visit casa blanca, but I did not have the time, so I had to pass – but you pic of Essaouira has me convinced to work that into my next visit. Thx.

I enjoyed your write-up about Morocco. I spent two months there and was amazed everyday with the changing scenery. One important note regarding the term Berber, that is considered a pejorative term by indigenous people who refer to themselves as Amazigh ( pronounced as Ama-Zeer) and not Berber. Keep up the traveling.
